Hi I have been trying to use Fortify Scanning Wizard to scan a c# repository which is not built and I am not able to build it. It seems like Fortify is not picking up the cs files / cant even locate them. I read some posts and saying that, you can only use Fortify on C# project when 1. You can compile it and have a.pdb file; or 2. You have to use fortify plugin in the visual studio and build it. I just want to do a simple pre-compiled static code analysis on a C# project. Can you post a link where it says on the AOC website to download a Plug and Play driver? I can't believe they got it that wrong. Usb display installer for mac. Visual Studio App Center Ship higher-quality apps faster with confidence. Does anyone have tips on building addins for Visual Studio for Mac? I know it's still in preview, but the addin I am working on probably won't be I must have missed the Addin Maker when looking through Plugins yesterday. Download font untuk android tanpa root apk. The Plugins page shows the list of installed plugins.Use the check boxes next to plugin names to enable or disable them. Other controls on this page let you sort and filter the plugin list, update and uninstall repository plugins, access plugin repositories, and also install the plugins available locally. I did not expect Fortify cannot do that. It will be great if someone can confirm that. Hi, I am trying to run Fortify scans on.net code written using Visual Studio 2012. I am running the scans from the commandline as part of our CI process. We use a similar commandline to this: sourceanalyzer -b my_buildid devenv Sample.sln /REBUILD debug. When the command runs I get the following error: The Fortify add-in for Visual Studio did not execute; therefore, no files were translated. Ensure that the Fortify add-in [exec] is installed. If you are running Visual Studio 2005 SP1, you must also install the hotfix indicated by KB934517. We installed the Fortify plugin for VS 2012 but it did not show up in the IDE. We then manually added the plugin to VS2012 selected the plugin that appeared in Add-in Manager. This didn't seem to make any difference. Whe then tried to uninstall the plugin so we could add it again, but when trying to uncheck the plugin check box in the installation the check box is greyed out and cannot be selected. Can anyone recommend what I need to do to resolve this issue. Any help is much appreciated. Hi Dave, a few questions, and apologies if they're obvious, we just have to rule these things out: • Are you running a full version of VS 2012? SCA isn't compatible with VS express. • Was the installer run with admin rights? • When installing SCA which VS2012 plugin did you select? You should see a Scan, Remediation and Full plugin. 9 times out of 10 you'll want to install the Full plugin. This includes both the ability to scan and to audit issues from within the IDE. I believe there can be issues if the Full plugin is selected along with either of the others as they both try to install the same things. • How did you try to uninstall the plugin? It sounds like you may have run the installer again. In the SCA install directory you should find a file called Uninstall_HPFortifySCAandApps. Running this will bring up an uninstall wizard where you can select which components you want to remove. If you are using a full version of VS 2012, the installer was run with admin rights, and only the Full plugin was selected can you please use the uninstaller to remove the plugin. Then try reinstalling it using the installer. And finally send a copy of the install log to to investigate further. You can find the install log at C: Users AppData Local Temp HPFortifySCAandApps--install.log. Hi I am experiencing very similar issue, trying to run sourceanalyzer -b my_buildid devenv Sample.sln /REBUILD debug and getting the same error message: [2015-12-14 11:42:51.026 Thread-13 Master SEVERE 1442] The Fortify add-in for Visual Studio did not execute; therefore, no files were translated. Ensure that the Fortify add-in is installed. ![]() If you are running Visual Studio 2005 SP1, you must also install the hotfix indicated by KB934517. However, in my case a) Visual Studio is 2010 b) the plugin has been installed and the 'HP Fortify' menu shows up in the IDE. Still, the build fails with the error similar to the original question. Does the answer to the original question applies to my case as well? Or is there a different way of fixing the issue? Hi Sergiy, the previous answer does indeed apply to VS 2010 as well. Can you confirm what you selected in regards to the 3rd bullet point?
